What are wool runners and why are they the best option?

When it comes to running sneakers, you want something good for your feet but also good for the environment. So many shoe companies use an excess amount of materials to make their running shoes, but not at these companies. Read on to see or comparison of Allbirds vs Giesswein!

Running sneakers are the type of shoe people do a lot of research on before they actually buy them. You want something that is going to fit your foot perfectly, while also giving you the proper support you need for your specific foot. Not everyone’s foot is shaped the same way, so each person has different needs when it comes to their running sneakers.

Today, we are going to compare the two most popular options when it comes to wool runners. These two brands are known for having high-quality, durable, and comfortable wool runners. Both brands are very environmentally conscious and allow you to feel good about your purchase. Now, let’s get right into it!

We’re sure you’ve all heard of the brand AllBirds before. It’s one of the most popular shoe brands when it comes to all kinds of shoes – running shoes, flats, slip-ons, etc.

The reason so many people love AllBirds products is that they are very environmentally friendly and conscious. Their philosophy is reversing climate change through better business practices. To see more about their sustainable practices approach, click here.

AllBirds most popular and best-selling shoes are their wool runners. Their wool runner shoes come in both men’s and women’s sizes and styles, with a (very) wide variety of colors to choose from. Their wool runners offer you a very soft and cozy feel when you wear them – you’ll feel like you’re walking on air.

Featuring a very sleek and simple design, these sneakers are designed to fit your foot perfectly, while offering support in all the right places. Their sizing is a little bit different – they don’t offer half sizes, they only offer whole sizes. So, they recommend if you’re in between sizes, size up.

Allbirds vs Giesswein: Similarities

These two wool runner options are very similar in the sense that they both come in whole sizes, and they come in a wide variety of colors option – which we like. There’s nothing worse than wanting a certain pair of shoes, but not being able to get them because you don’t like their color options. They are also similar because they both feature very sleek and simple designs. Both wool runner options are very soft and comfortable, but they don’t offer you the best ankle support, which is a big minus for most people. Lastly, they are both similar when it comes to moisture-wicking and temperature regulating. Both shoes keep your feet at the perfect temperature so you can wear them year-round.

Allbirds vs Giesswein: Differences

The first major difference between these two wool runners’ options is the price. The AllBirds wool runners are $95, whereas the Giesswein wool runners are $130. One major difference to note is that the Geisswein wool runners do have a large logo on the side of the shoes, whereas the AllBirds don’t – the AllBirds are much more subtle, and we actually prefer not having a super large logo on the side of our shoe but that’s all personal preference. The last major difference we want to make you aware of between these two options is that the Geisswein wool runners are much more flexible than the AllBirds but more flexible isn’t always better when it comes to running shoes!

Now that you know how we think these two wool runner options are similar and different, it’s time to choose our winner for our Giesswein vs Allbirds battle. Today’s win is extremely close, but it goes to the AllBirds wool runners! Looking at both shoes overall, the AllBirds have a more sophisticated and simplistic look, which we prefer and they are extremely comfortable. While both wool runners are very flexible, the AllBirds offer you a little more stability. That being said, the choice does somewhat come down to personal preference, and you can’t go wrong with Giesswein either!
